Use of Olive Oil, Olive leaf extracts and Mineral water in our products.

Used throughout the ages, olive oil has long been the symbol of strength and longevity. The olive tree and its fruit are predominant in culture, theology, and medicine. Olive oil was one of the very first products manufactured by mankind.

Olive oil became the basis for the most highly prized soaps and perfumes, and was indispensable for dressing wool before spinning. The versatile liquid was used as a salve on chapped skin as a shield against bacteria on wounds, and was an effective remedy for an upset stomach. Apart from that, the ancient Greeks rubbed olive oil onto their skin as a beauty aid to soften and moisten the skin and into their hair and scalp for healthy and shiny hair.

Olive oil has anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidising and regenerative properties. Due to its molecular structure (similar to that of human skin), it is easily absorbed by the skin, offering skin nutrition and protection. Olive oil softens and tones the skin and is highly beneficial to stressed or damaged skin.

Olive Oil is a complex compound made of fatty acids, vitamins and anti-oxidants. Primary fatty acids are oleic and linoleic acid with a small amount of linoleic acid. Olive Oil contains both Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. The flavonoid polyphenols in olive oil are natural anti-oxidants, which have been shown to have a host of beneficial effects. There are as many as 5 mg of anti-oxidant polyphenols in every 10 grams of olive oil. Many other nut and seed oils have no polyphenols. Vitamins can be divided into the fat-soluble and water-soluble varieties. Because olive oil is a fat, it is higher in the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.
